From the M6, leave at junction 40. Take westbound A66 (for 38 miles) until it ends at Workington. At traffic lights take left hand filter, turning left onto A596 for 100 metres, following signs for Town Centre and railway station. Turn right at next traffic lights onto B5297, going straight across at mini-roundabout, past the bus station and straight on at all sets of traffic lights, still following signs for railway station. At junction in front of station go straight across, following one-way system past the station, keeping to the left hand lane. Go past the usual entrance to Derwent Park, which is now blocked off, and go straight on at the mini-roundabout outside Tesco. At the barricade before the collapsed bridge turn left into Derwent Park and drive round to the car park behind the grandstand.
