From the north follow the A1 southbound, taking the A19 slip road. Follow the A19 for approximately two miles, then take the A189, followed by the A188 (signposted Newcastle East). After about six miles the stadium is signposted at a roundabout where youtake the first exit. The stadium is 400 yards on the right. Beware the new traffic light system on Fossway. Despite how it appears, take right at the lights which is the old straight over. From the south, follow the A1 northbound past Washington Services.Take the left fork (A1) and first slip road (A167) through Gateshead. Cross Tyne Bridge onto Central Motorway. Take second slip road off and fourth exit at the roundabout (A193). After about one and a half miles take third exit from roundabout signed Newcastle Stadium. Then see above warning about traffic lights.
